Lewis Williams – Garden Designer, West Yorkshire
Having worked in a corporate environment for a number of years, I’d enjoyed working on major projects within the utilities sector, and also held a Directorship within the recruitment industry. Despite the welcome challenges and excitement that came with these positions, I often felt a desire to pursue a more creative path. I finally decided, in 2011, it was time to seize the day and change direction. I completed horticulture qualifications with the Royal Horticultural Society, before going on to study an FdA in Garden Design, graduating with Distinction, and setting up Lewis Williams Gardens. I am also a Pre-Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers, the Garden Design industry’s governing body. http://sgd.org.uk
The main objective is to ensure that the space I design is going to live up to its full potential, whether a small courtyard or an extensive rural garden. It is a fact that spending time outdoors is beneficial to our health, wellbeing and happiness. We should make the most of it.
Crucial to a successful garden design is listening to you as a client; understanding your wants, and your needs. I combine this understanding with a sensitive consideration of the surroundings, thoughtful planning, considerate design and careful selection of materials and plants. These combined can make your dream garden become a reality.
I have trusted relationships with experts across all fields of horticulture, construction, and specialist garden products. This ensures the best possible outcome for each and every design.
Based near Saltaire (between Bingley and Bradford), West Yorkshire, commissions are undertaken for garden design work in all the surrounding areas including Leeds, Harrogate, Ilkley, Skipton, Halifax and further afield on request.
